JADE RINGS
Jade Ring Stone Types—Jadeite, Nephrite and Common Look-Alikes
Compare jadeite, nephrite, omphacite and common jade look-alikes used in rings. Learn what color, photos and lab reports can—and cannot—prove.
READ THE GUIDEBrowse jade rings with practical information about fit, inner diameter, setting scale, band construction and metal finish. Compare the measurements with a ring you already wear before choosing an adjustable or fixed-size design.
CHOOSING YOUR RING
A ring can fit the finger and still feel visually too large—or look delicate but sit high above the hand. Check the inside diameter, the full top dimensions and the setting height as separate measurements.

READ THE MEASUREMENTS CORRECTLY
Measure across the empty interior of a ring that already fits. Do not include the metal band in the diameter, and do not use the outside edge.
Approximately a U.S. size 5; measure straight across the inner opening.
The approximate inside circumference for the same size 5 example.
The jade center on the example ring—not the full halo or complete ring face.
Conversion charts are approximate. A wide band can feel tighter than a slim one, and finger size changes with temperature, time of day and swelling.
QUICK SIZE REFERENCE
If your existing ring falls between two measurements, use the product’s stated size range rather than assuming an open band will cover the difference.
Approximate U.S. conversions shown below: brand charts and international systems can vary slightly.
THREE DIFFERENT PROFILES
Halo stones, openwork and prongs change the width, height and visual weight of a ring even when the jade center is relatively compact.
SQUARE HALO
The approximately 8 × 8 mm center is only part of the visible ring face; the zircon petals and side jade accents add width.
OVAL PROFILE
The domed oval, four-prong setting and openwork halo make this a statement shape; check the full top dimensions when listed.
ROUND FLORAL
The creamy-white cabochon sits inside a layered flower, so the outer petals—not only the center stone—determine the visible scale.
AN ADJUSTABLE BAND STILL HAS LIMITS
An open band can usually accommodate a small fit change, but it is not automatically suitable for every finger. Adjust gradually and evenly; repeated bending can weaken the silver band or stress a plated finish. If the intended size range is not listed, ask before ordering.
Before buying: check the intended finger size, inside diameter or stated size range, full ring-face dimensions, setting height, band width, base metal, plating and jade disclosure.
